Agent/broker’s reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed (Note: these need to be taken with a serious grain of salt.)
2. Interview Process
Learn as much as possible about what you’re getting into. Interview the company as much as they interview you.
3. Networking
Your personal and business network – talk to people who do this now
Employees of the agent/broker — find out what it’s like to work there
Competitor’s employees — talk to people who do this for other agent/brokers
Agent/broker’s clients — find out why clients do business with the agent/broker
Again, an industry change is a big career decision.
Do the homework you should to make the pivot with your eyes wide open.
